Swim Vision
Swim Vision is a personal project designed to help triathletes better understand and improve their swim technique using simple, self-recorded video. The goal is to transform a swim clip into a clear 3D visualization of the stroke, compare key movements with elite swimmers, and deliver practical, actionable feedback for improvement.
Project demo will be available soon.
What is it
An early-stage application built to make swim technique analysis more accessible to triathletes. Using self-recorded video, swimmers can visualize and analyze their stroke, compare their movement against elite swimmers, and receive actionable feedback on where and how to improve. The project is currently in early development as a founder-led side project.
How it works
Take a few videos of yourself swimming from different angles, and Swim Vision will generate a 3D recreation of your stroke cycle for analysis and critique. Swim Vision takes this visualization one step further by overlaying your stroke with that of an Olympic swimmer, making differences in body position, timing, and movement patterns easier to identify. Long term, I hope to build an ML-driven technique analyzer that turns those differences into specific, actionable feedback. I also envision Swim Vision as a platform where Olympic and national level swimmers can personally coach triathletes and help make world-class swimming knowledge more accessible.
Why I'm making this
What a stroke feels like and what is actually happening in the water are often very different. Consistent video review is one of the most effective ways to improve technique, and Swim Vision's goal is to make actionable video analysis accessible to triathletes and recreational swimmers alike.
